Each year, the Board of Admissions of Boston University awards the Presidential Scholarship to incoming first-year students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement. In addition to being among the most academically talented students, Presidential Scholars demonstrate excellence beyond the classroom and are leaders in their schools and communities. This $25,000 tuition scholarship is renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study at Boston University.

3. William V. Shannon Memorial Fellowship
To be eligible, you must be an Outstanding international student from Ireland and Northern Ireland who plan to pursue graduate study at Boston University are eligible for consideration.
- Graduate applicants are encouraged to inform BU departments of their interest in the Shannon Fellowship.
- Nominations by the BU school or department should include a PDF of the nominee’s complete graduate application.
- Selection will be based on the quality of the applicant’s academic achievements and the potential for success.
- A committee Chaired by the Associate Provost for Graduate Affairs will review applications

This offers full funding scholarship to students doing a master’s degree program, in order to successfully obtain this scholarship, you need to meet up with the following criteria.
- Recipients must be full-time students and may not undertake employment or other significant commitments during the academic year.
- Recipients must remain in good academic standing, lawful immigration status, and make timely progress towards the completion of their degree.
- The recipient will submit a report of progress at the end of the first year to the Associate Provost for Graduate Affairs; failure to remain in good academic standing, remain in status, or make timely progress may result in the revocation of the scholarship, including termination of the stipend.
